Meta and BBDO enlisted Method Studios for the launch of Asgard's Wrath 2: three cinematic game trailers, an NBA broadcast takeover, and a 65ft animated holographic display at The Game Awards.
The films integrate live action footage, traditional VFX and real-time animation in Unreal Engine. The game assets were rebuilt and up-rezzed to feature-film detail so the Unreal team could focus on character animation, lighting, look development and world-building.
My role was to develop the setups for the live-action-talent to game-character transformation — they had to work on extreme close-ups and on wider shots, and leave room to art-direct the transitions.
